Weston's First Christmas...times 5

Wow!  I can't believe that the holiday season is now over.  Weston's first Christmas was so very special; not only for our family of three, but for all of our extended family.  It was so sweet to see him interact with all of the family members and of course how excited he was to open all of his presents.  Weston is a natural present opener. :)  We spent three whole days celebrating with the family and it couldn't have been more perfect.  Of course, Mommy and Mister are now a bit under the weather, but hopefully we will be back to our normal selves shortly and will get to have some fun!  Just watching Weston over the holidays made me think of holidays to come-ones where he makes his own Christmas list, him waking US up to go see what Santa brought, him helping decorate the tree, and him helping his little brother or sister one day open presents.  He is such a special boy and full of joy, laughter, and love.  He is infectious.  You can't help but smile when you are around him.

On Sunday, Caleb, Liz, and Graham came over to give Weston his present, watch the Texans game and eat some lunch.  This was Weston's FIRST present to ever open and he did so well.  It was so cute watching Graham help him open it and then of course teach him how to use his present!

Later on Sunday, we went to Ryan's grandparents house and celebrated Christmas.  We had a lot of fun visiting and Weston enjoyed playing with his cousin Lily!  Lily is going to be a big sister soon, so she was getting in some good practice!

On Christmas Eve we went to Aunt Debbie's house and celebrated with the other side of the family.  There was a lot of laughter and yummy food; of course Weston was the center of attention and he loved every minute of it.  Since we opened presents at night, Weston wore some of his Christmas pjs.

On Christmas morning we rushed in and woke Mister up and rushed him in to see what Santa had brought him.  It was SO cute watching him crawl right over to all of his presents and Ryan and I both were full of joy watching him open each one.  It was SO incredibly special and I know we will never forget it.  Weston even took time to really look at each gift this time and we even stopped to read one of his new books.  After opening gifts, we made Christmas breakfast and just played and relaxed all morning long.

Later in the afternoon we went to my parents house to celebrate Christmas with my family.  It was a lot of fun.  Weston liked when his Grand Mimi was holding him.  He even got to eat some fresh sweet potatoes and Mommy even snuck him some roll ;)  We opened gifts and then Ryan, myself, two cousins, and Uncle Mike played Life while Weston was passed around.  I have NEVER played such a fun game of Life!  It was QUITE comical.  Everyone enjoyed being around Weston and Weston enjoyed being held and cuddled.

eek, my precious one :)

Finally, on Christmas night we went to Ryan's parents house to open gifts.  I however, forgot my camera so I didn't get anymore pictures.  He LOVED his gift from his Uncle Chad and Nana and Papa got him some really cool things...he loves his Mickey phone and soon his toy box from Pottery Barn will arrive.

As you can see it was a GREAT Christmas.  We couldn't have asked for a better 3 day celebration!

Merry Christmas my sweet boy.  I hope it was just as perfect for you as it was for us.
