First Haircut 3-2-13

This post is a little late, but I had to post!  On Saturday, March 2nd Weston got his first haircut! We went to my mom's friend who cuts her hair in Pearland and to say we were ALL a bit nervous was an understatement! Weston was very hesitant and curious of what was going on, so I had to hold him STANDING UP to try and cut his hair.  He didn't really cry, but just kept moving his head in the OPPOSITE direction of how we needed him to. HeHe.  Needless to say, we didn't cut too much off-not for lack of trying!  However, I think he looks SO handsome with his first big boy haircut.  Here are the two "after shots" I got.  We didn't get ANY during the process because of him being a wiggle worm. :)  Hopefully next time we will get a few more pictures of the cutting process-if he decides to SIT in someone's lap. ;)

Outdoor Fun

Like all boys, Weston LOVES being outside.  The weather has ben so nice lately that we have been spending multiple hours outside.  Whether he is taking a ride in his wagon, going for a walk in his stroller, or playing in the grass, it is SUCH a joy to see how excited and happy he is when he's outside.  Talk about pure joy and picture perfect moments.  I'm just hoping this weather can stay a bit longer so we can enjoy some more sun; mommy is even getting a little sun tan from being outside!  It feels nice to get a bit of color.  I can't wait until summer when Weston will get his first little tan from splashing around in his pool or playing with his water table!

Hot Diggity Dog, Weston's ONE Year Old!!!

On Saturday, March 9th, we celebrated our little monster's first birthday with a Mickey Mouse themed extravaganza.  The whole day was honestly a big blur of stress, chaos, and fun!  It was so wonderful to celebrate the day with a lot of our family and friends.  However, I did not realize how stressful a birthday party can be to plan.  I worked for weeks ironing out details for the party and with the help of family (and Etsy) everything came together perfectly.  Although our little Weston was hesitant around everyone, I'm pretty sure he enjoyed his birthday and all of the hard work his loved ones put in to make his special day perfect!
