Trip to the Lakehouse 6/7 - 6/8

Well, we did it! We went away for the first time with Weston this past weekend. Yes, it only took us 15 months to take Weston away for the night, but hey...you have to start somewhere! Our good friend Crystal's parents have a GORGEOUS lakehouse out on Lake Conroe, so us, them, and the Rabons went out and had some much needed fun! Crystal's parents were there and were the most gracious of hosts; we cooked fajitas, sat by the lake, the guys golfed, and of course we got o catch up on each others' lives.

Ryan and I were EXTREMELY nervous about taking Weston somewhere, mainly because he has never not slept in his crib or even napped in his pack-n-play. However, we were SO thankful and impressed that he slept the entire night and did not fuss one bit. He even took a nap the next day allowing me to get some much needed girl time in. :) Now that we know how good he was, we can't wait to go somewhere again soon. Of course next time, I just hope Mr. Weston wants to participate in water events if we go somewhere like a lake or beach. :)

The night and following day was simply perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better one night away with sweet friends and of course our little boy!
