This past weekend was our second Easter as a family of three. Friday, I got spoiled and got to spend the entire day with Weston. We TRIED to be productive and clean the house up a bit, but of course little man had other plans for us which included playing outside in the front yard, taking a wagon ride, and messing up every room in the house once Mommy cleaned it up. We even went to see the Easter Bunny...let me tell you, it was a QUICK trip. As soon as he sat in the bunny's lap he just wanted me back. The picture is pretty priceless. lol. On Saturday we set up Weston's water table on the porch and he had SO much fun playing with the toys and splashing his hands in the water. Later that night we hung out with Ryan's family at his parents house. We ate lots of yummy food and Weston got to spend some time with his Nana, Papa, Great Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Ross, and of course his sweet Aunt Debbie and Uncle Chad. On Sunday, we started the day off by relaxing at home and giving Weston his Easter basket and goodies-Daddy even bought Mister bought his first basketball goal. Of course, for now I think the goal is mainly for Daddy to play with. Later on in the day we went over to my parents house and had a lot of fun playing washers with Laura. Ryan and Laura even landed a washer on the stick that is an automatic win! We ate lunch and hung out for most of the day and even got in some Vitamin D. Weston had a blast playing with his truck in the front yard, hunting for eggs, and of course spending time with Mimi, Poppy, and Great Mimi. That night Ryan and I got the BEST Easter present...Weston took FOUR steps on his own!! It completely made our Easter! Since then, he has been getting a bit better each day, but he still can only stand on his own balancing for a few seconds. He thinks it's a game to take three or four steps and then lunge forward at us! It's now only a matter of time before he REALLY is on the move.
